House District 78: Joe Bradford

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

A native of Scott County, Joe Bradford graduated from Forest High School, attended Hinds Community College and earned a mortuary science degree from Northwest Community College. He also obtained his emergency medical technician (EMT) certification from East Central Community College.

A funeral director and mortician for nearly 10 years, Bradford was elected as the Scott County Coroner in 1992, a position he will hold until January 2020. He is affiliated with several professional and community organizations including the Mississippi Coroners Association, the Mississippi Division of the International Association for Identification and the Scott County Local Emergency Planning Committee.

Bradford and his wife, René, have one adult daughter, Nicole, who graduated from Scott Central High School, and a grandson, Dylan, who attends Rouse Elementary School. He enjoys camping, fishing and horses.
