ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
A native of Clay County, Mississippi, Representative Karl Gibbs graduated from West Point High School and received a Bachelor of Science in educational psychology from Alcorn State University.
Gibbs is a police officer, a real estate owner and manager, and previously worked as a mental health counselor at Community Counseling Services. He has been a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives since 2013 and serves on the Agriculture; Military Affairs; Wildlife, Fisheries & Parks; and Youth and Family Affairs committees. Additionally, he is a member of the American Legion.
He and his wife, Sonya, have one son, Karl. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting and fishing.
