Education is, without a doubt, the best jobs program Mississippi could invest in, and until we elect more individuals who acknowledge that and truly value our public schools, Mississippi communities will continue struggling to compete in a changing economy. ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
A native of Natchez, William Godfrey graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and a double minor in history and public policy. After graduating from college, Godfrey worked on campaigns for different candidates throughout the state for eight years before deciding to run for state senate. He’s traveled extensively all over the state to nearly every county.
He serves on the executive committee of the Natchez Balloon Fest, which benefits the Historic Natchez Foundation, and on the Natchez Santa Claus Committee, and he’s a member of the Krewe of Phoenix.
