ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
A native of Brooksville, Mississippi, Representative Carl L. Mickens earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice administration. His professional experience includes serving as Noxubee County Circuit Clerk and as Noxubee County Justice Court Judge, as well as working in the funeral services industry. He has been a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives since 2015, serving on the following legislative committees: Conservation and Water Resources, Constitution, Corrections, Education, Public Utilities and Workforce Development.
Mickens is also involved with several civic and community organizations including the Shriners, First James Creek Baptist Association and the Noxubee County High School Booster Club.
