House District 96: Aisha Sanders

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

A Natchez native, Aisha Sanders earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Kentucky and a Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge. She currently serves as a public defender with Adams County and is the managing partner of Sanders Law Firm, located in Natchez. Sanders served as the city prosecutor for the town of Woodville and an adjunct instructor at Alcorn State University. She holds memberships in the Mississippi, Louisiana and Magnolia Bar Associations.

Sanders is involved in her community, volunteering as a tutor at the D&J Youth Group in Natchez. She is the founder and president of the Dunbar-Green Foundation, which sponsors an annual school supply giveaway and provides students with a day of fun activities prior to the beginning of school.
